I'll be honest, when we first starting thinking about getting ISO accredited, I felt overwhelmed. I heard ISO and immediately thought of endless paperwork and audits with a sprinkle of confusion and grey areas. However, now that we're officially accredited in both ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management), I can say with confidence that it has been worth it. Not just for the team at KODOBI, but for the clients we support too.
What do ISO45001 and ISO 9001 actually mean?
In simple terms:
ISO 45001 is about having a proper system in place for managing health and safety. It's a global standard that shows to your customers that you've got processes in place to protect your team and others.
ISO 9001 is the gold standard for quality management. It means you deliver consistent and reliable services that are continuously improving.
Why KODOBI did both
I've always run a tight ship, but I wanted to make that official. Not only for our own accountability but also to show our clients they're in good hands.
To be honest, we also knew that more and more businesses are asking for ISO credentials in tenders and supply chains. These accreditations carry real weight.
They aren't just for show either, the process has actually made KODOBI better. We reviewed everything, spotted areas we could improve on, and came out of it more confident in the way we work.
What was the process like?
To be frank, it was hard work. We had to be really honest with ourselves, and ask:
Do our documents reflect what we actually are?
Are our systems consistent across clients?
Do we follow our own advice?
Getting ISO ready involved collating everything, reviewing it properly and creating systems that we could actually sustain.
Helping other businesses do the same
