1. Make it clear you're there to help. Gently ask how best you can assist.

Giving them your full attention and listening sincerely can build trust.

2. Always be mindful of their environment and possible needs.

Understand they might struggle to communicate their needs with you, perhaps due to language barriers or hearing difficulties.

3. Offer them a quiet safe space to sit and take deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and out through the mouth
